Do you know how much are you worth? I am not talking about how much money you receive for what you do, but about the real value that you have as a person. As social beings, we are always interacting and doing things for others, and based on how much you give, your value can be estimated.

I invite you to self-reflect on this now: how much are you giving to others? What are you doing beyond your obligations for them? How are you helping them and why are you doing that?

Genuine value is not given by your own measurement but by how others recognize it.

The world works in a circular way with mainly everything you give coming back to you. If you treat people well, you will be well treated (at least most of the times). If you help others, you will be helped in moments that you are not expecting. Look around you and see how these things are happening every day. I just recommend doing those thinks without expecting something back. This holds the trueness of your value.

Another way to recognize your value is by the responsibility you are given both in your personal and professional life. People would not give you that responsibility if they had not seen your value. At this point you should also evaluate what is responsibility and what is exploitation, as of course, there are some people who just want to exploit others. But the genuine responsibility is easily recognizable by the importance of the task.

You can also create value to others by offering them your best. If you are aware of how things develop around you, you might probably be able to recognize when is the time to give your best and to whom. I try as often as possible to do that, even for strangers, because I use a simple rule of treating and helping others the same way I would like to be treated and helped.

I am sure that life can be even more plentiful when we give our best and create value for others. There are many fields where this can be done such as at work or home and for your friends, colleagues and family. Take your time and make it happen.
